IF Horwath endorses Kathleen Wynne’s Liberal budget tabled today at Queen’s Park, then we will KNOW that Andrea Horwath favours her own fake political power over the interests of the PEOPLE who she swore to serve!
IF Horwath turns on Wynne and company like she should, then we will KNOW that there is some small residual of decency left in her and her outdated Party, the NDP.
I bet on the first one!

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear Premier Kathleen Wynne keeps a crack dealer on payroll, just so she can roll out damaging video and audio of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford indulging his unsavoury pastimes at strategically embarrassing moments.
Just when you’d expect all eyes to be focused on Wynne, her Finance Minister Charles Sousa and their horrific mismanagement of our economy, Ford comes out with another folly and redirects attention instead to him and his nonsense.
This budget is bafflegab and baloney.
It’s not a financial document.
PC leader Tim Hudak called it a “series of unconnected ideas” aimed at getting Liberals re-elected.
With all eyes on Ford, my bet is that Wynne will dissolve Parliament and call a stealth election within days.
That would make the earliest date for a vote June 5 — however, I understand Elections Ontario has told all parties that’s a non-starter, because it’s a Jewish holiday.
Here’s the paint-by-numbers on the budget.
The net debt by 2016-2017 will be a staggering $204 billion.
This year, the figure is $189 billion.
Having doubled the debt in 10 years, now they’re heading down the twisting path to tripling it in the next 10 years.
There’s not even a nod to fiscal prudence.
We’re in a big mess — and thanks to the mayor’s woes, no one’s noticed.
If she calls an election now, media will be watching Ford, not Wynne.
This government is hell-bound on hiking taxes and spending recklessly — and putting on a game face that it’s good for you.
Ford may have his problems, but this government has its own addiction — to spending. They sneak through new taxes — and they still can’t balance the books.
Do you really trust this government with your pension?
That’s what they’re asking you to do.
Let them raid your paycheque once again to create a pool of money to invest on your behalf. Except finance critic Vic Fedeli says for every $2 billion in added payroll taxes, 18,000 jobs are lost.
You trust the people who brought us eHealth, Ornge and the gas plant scandal to invest your pension?
You thought the Wolf of Wall St. was bad? We have the Wynne of Bay St.
Try not taxing us quite as much so we’d have extra money in our pockets to put away for retirement.
It’s not that I don’t trust government to know what’s best for me.
It’s just that I don’t trust this government with anything.
New Democratic Party leader Andrea Horwath didn’t even show up for her media statement during Thursday’s lock-up.
