Kathleen Wynne is either thoroughly medicated beyond all sense of reason or is living in such a deluded world of spin that she actually publicly stated the above today during the daily clown show called “question period” at Queen’s Park.
This delusional piece of useless rhetoric is such an insult to all Ontarians that one can’t help but question the mental competence of this present Government.
Of course we had the same arrogance and total denial rhetoric from McGuinty and his Gang Green when they were at the helm. So why would this replacement team be any different.
One can’t help wonder when the cost of the Oakville plant comes through at probably over 1/2 BILLION stolen $$$ what this non-elected buffoon will claim as her description of the event……………..could it be “UNAVOIDABLE”?
The only thing “unfortunate” about both these massive thefts is that no Liberal is in jail………YET!

TORONTO – The Ontario government has accepted the $275-million price tag on the cancellation of the Mississauga gas plant and is now prepared to move forward with an improved process for siting projects, Premier Kathleen Wynne says.
“The reality is … all parties agreed that these gas plants should be relocated, and there was a cost associated with those relocations,” Wynne said Tuesday. “That is unfortunate, but that is the reality.”
Ontario auditor general Jim McCarter released his report Monday into the costs associated with the decision to cancel the Greenfield South Power Plant while under construction and relocate the plant to Sarnia.
McCarter’s number crunchers pegged the total bill for taxpayers and hydro ratepayers at $275 million, $85 million more than previously announced by the provincial government.
Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli attributed the low-balled number to the Ontario Power Authority, the agency responsible for negotiating with builder Eastern Power after the political decision was made to stop the project.
Opposition MPPs have said it’s impossible to imagine that the Liberal government didn’t know the real number, and accused the Grits of deliberately misleading the public.

TORONTO – What a wretched, wasteful, deceitful government this is.
This week we got the full accounting for the disgraceful way the Liberals scrapped the Mississauga gas-fired generating plant in the heat of the 2011 election.
It was not the $190 million they consistently told us it would be.
Auditor general Jim McCarter revealed Monday the bill for that piece of Liberal incompetence is $275 million.
This was a decision taken by the Liberal campaign team so, as Tory Frank Klees asked in the legislature Tuesday, why isn’t the Ontario Liberal Party on the hook for the bill?
“Given that it was a Liberal Party decision to incur $275 million of costs, will the premier agree that it’s the Liberal Party of Ontario that should pay that money?” Klees asked.
It’s about time also we put to an end this nonsense that it was something all parties agreed to do.
It was a Liberal decision to build the two plants in Oakville and Mississauga. They picked the locations. It was a Liberal decision to cancel them. You can’t blame the two opposition parties for fixing the Liberals’ mistakes.
And the Liberals botched the cancellation — as McCarter so ably pointed out.
They gave away $36 million in potential savings associated with gas delivery costs.
As part of a legal settlement, they paid a U.S. hedge fund 14% interest in a $263-million line of credit.
Every time they opened their mouths, they screwed up.
This is just the last in a long string of outrageous goofs, gaffes, scandals and boondoggles.
Had it been discovered when Mike Harris was premier that a private company mixing cancer drugs had been providing watered-down drugs to hospitals, he’d have been burned in effigy.
Demonstrators would have trampled every crocus, every daffodil on the lawn at Queen’s Park to protest this disgraceful mistake.
Do we punish a Liberal government? No. We yawn.
I have no idea how many people have died as a result of this shocking error, but I do know that the government should be asked why hospitals stopped mixing their own cancer drugs and handed the job to the private sector.
All this comes hard on the heels of the Ornge scandal which saw millions of dollars wasted and the $1-billion eHealth boondoggle that saw Liberal-friendly consultants get huge contracts to produce very little.
What the Liberals have done to the electricity sector is unforgiveable.
The Green Energy Act has destroyed rural Ontario with ugly, inefficient turbines that scar the countryside and produce electricity at a time when we don’t need it.
