Why don’t our Premiers know who’s ripping us off in THEIR MINISTRIES???

First it was Dalton and Deb showing outrage that ORNGE was basically nothing more than a tax payer “ponzi scheme” AFTER a reporter “outed” the diabolical schemes of financial skulduggery both in E Health and now ORNGE.

Now it’s Allison Redford, the Premier of Alberta eloquently screaming “outrage” over HER Health System being used as “carte blanche free for all” tax payer funded credit card for personal finances by a man who previously took Ontario tax payers for a ride year ago.

Do these Premiers just shuffle their cronies back and forth between Provincial Ministries hoping nobody will notice them?

If you or I or any other honest hard working Canadian ever tried this kind of crap we would be busting rocks in a prison quarry for years!

It seems our so-called “leadership” may be lacking a few brain cells or have so much contempt for their electorate that they don’t really care until they get CAUGHT!

The premier of Alberta says she is outraged after expense reports released by Alberta Health Services for Executive Vice-President and CFO Allaudin Merali, show claims totalling hundreds of thousands of dollars.

“I think these numbers are terribly high and if AHS had not dealt with him then the Government of Alberta would have,” Premier Redford told CTV News by phone from London Friday.

CFO Allaudin Merali stepped down after the organization received a request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPP) act earlier this year, for records of expense claims for Merali, from his days as VP and CFO of the former Capital Health Region.

The documents, relating to 146 expense claims, dated between January 2005 and August 2008 and totaling $346,208 were released on July 27, 2012. On Wednesday, they were posted publicly.

A day later, a member of Alberta Health Services’ board, Sheila Weatherill, resigned following the news that Merali is leaving.

According to the released documents, Merali expensed a variety of goods and services – from smaller expenses such as parking meters, a bottle of water, and a slice of pizza, to pricey dinners at high-end restaurants (some with bills totaling more than $3,000), alcohol, and stays at international hotels.

The acting CEO told media Wednesday the decision to release Merali was made in consultation with AHS’ President and CEO Dr. Chris Eagle, who is currently on vacation.
