People across Ontario are trying to get a handle on “why their Townships and lands and homes and health” are being literally “sacrificed” by a Provincial Government’s disastrous Green Energy Plan to construct massive Wind Farms across Rural Lands in Ontario.

Who is “behind the scenes” here to provide funding and cash for ventures that do nothing but generate huge profits for a small handfull of “investors” at the expense of all Ontario Land Owners?

Is there a “conspiracy of silence” in order to “lock up tax payers and electrical consumers $$$” to invest daily in this failed experiment to create an “Industry of Destruction”?

Like any other “Ponzi Scheme” investigation is usually centred on the “Follow the Money” paradigm.

Parker Gallant is one of those brilliant researchers who uses his Finacial background in real life to expose what we could call “the centre of this most foul scheme”!

Environmental “Don” or “El Hefe” of Sustainable Energy

Friday, May 25, 2012 Wind Concerns Ontario Parker Gallant

The names; Trillium Foundation, the Ontario Power Authority, Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, the Ivey Foundation, Environmental Defence, Consultative Group on Biological Diversity, Green Energy Act Alliance, the Sustainability Network, Greening Greater Toronto, Tides Canada, Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance, Consultative Group on Biological Diversity, Environmental Defence and Premier McGuinty’s; Climate Change Advisory Panel amongst many others are all connected by one individual. That individual is Bruce Lourie who either claims he founded some of the above or sits in a position of authority either as a member of the Board, the Chairman or as an adviser.

Mr. Lourie didn’t make Tom Rand’s article in the first (and perhaps only) issue of Green Power Magazine which listed “20 Movers & Shakers of the Green Energy Act” when it was launched. The article names those involved in selling the Liberals the concept of the Act so it is surprising that Lourie doesn’t appear due to his involvement via the Ivey Foundation where he was and still is the President and CEO. On the list were former Energy Minister George Smitherman along with David Suzuki, Rick Smith (Lourie’s co-author of the book; Slow Death by Rubber Duck), Marion Fraser (she was a policy adviser to the Minister, the “content” adviser for the GEA and Vice-Chair of the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance when Lourie was Executive Director), Mike Layton (son of Jack Layton) then with Environmental Defence, Professor Jose Etcheverry of York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies, but no Bruce Lourie. Tom Rand, the author of the article is “cleantech lead” at MaRS Discovery District and sits with Lourie on the Tides Canada Advisory Board with other luminaries such as Michael Harcourt, former BC Premier and Marlo Raynolds of the Pembina Institute. Lourie is everywhere if it has anything to do with sustainability or renewable energy. Lourie (linkedin) claims a BSc in geology (rocks) and a Master in Environmental Studies from York University (maybe where he connected with Professor Etcheverry). He was or perhaps still is seeking a PhD in Environmental Studies (York offers a doctorate program) but apparently Lourie has not completed or defended his thesis so remains without the ability to call himself a Dr. unlike his co-author Rick Smith, Executive Director of Environmental Defence where Lourie once held the position of President.

Despite the lack of a PhD Lourie is a powerhouse in the renewable energy business, perhaps because of his position at the Ivey Foundation where as President he wields considerable influence on the flow of grant money and because he also sat as a director of the Trillium Foundation which annually doles out $13/15 million in grants to the “environment sector”.

Lourie’s biography is extensive, naming him as “one of Canada’s most influential leaders and thinkers in the environment sector.” Lourie certainly is influential as evidenced by his ability to create or support entities that have the heft to sway both politicians and charitable institutions.

Another of Bruce Lourie’s creations is the “Summerhill Group” which consists of three companies that cover the range of corporate entities including, a for profit (Summerhill Group Inc.), a not-for-profit (Summerhill Impact) and a charity (Summerhill Foundation). Financial information on Summerhill and other companies Lourie created, or played a role in creating; is difficult to find, as it is for most of the environmental non-government organizations (ENGOs). The attached highlights the extensive array of companies, Lourie has created or influences however his reach goes well beyond those on this chart.

Lourie’s reach and connections will be explored in future articles that will show how one individual has managed to create a plethora of environmental organizations while remaining “under the radar screen”.

Here’s what happens when Municipal Councils in Ontario feel they have an “entitlement” to make decisions on behalf of other levels of Government and Industry that ISN’T in the best interests of the citizens who elected them and pay their wages!

It’s called a “Dictatorship” and there is NO PLACE in Ontario for anyone who advocates this type of behaviour.

When a Council member who is duly elected to represent the tax payers of that Township and has “financial interests” with anyone while conducting legislative business that allows that Industry to operate without oversight such as the Wind Industry, then that Council member is operating under a “conflict of interest” and legally must state that publicly and remove himself/herself physically from any further involvement!

Here is what happens when a Council goes “rogue” and places their employers in harms way!

Adelaide-Metcalfe Citizens REVOLT!

5/25/12

Reposted from Middlesex-Lambton Wind Group

Over 100 people arrived at the small Adelaide-Metcalfe Township council office, but there are only chairs for 20 in council chambers upstairs. Now on any other normal night, the council would move the meeting in the basement where there is much more room, and many chairs. But not tonight. I walked in, all the chairs were full, and there was EIGHTY people behind me waiting to get in, not sure where to go or stand in the foyer. So we moved in. I stood behind the clerk and mayor…what else were we to do? Still we could only pack 79 people in… which was WAY over the fire CODE. But the council would not move us. Safety is apparently not a concern to them.

The meeting started, the Lord’s Prayer was said, the mayor asked that the video recorder be shut off, when it wasn’t, he got up to call the police. BUT this time, coun. Smith asked that council vote on it, and that the vote is recorded:
In favour of calling the police on the vidoegraphers:
Mayor David Bolton
Deputy Mayor Adrian Debruyn
Counc. Betty Anne MacKinnon

Against calling the police:
Coun. Kurtis Smith
Coun. Nick Stockman

The police arrived fairly quickly, about 4 or 5 cruisers, but they didn’t park at the office, some stayed on side roads in the distance. The OPP would not enter the building with that many people. They called their supervisor, who was 45 minutes away… that ‘s a looooong time to wait in a cramped, hot room. So I opened the windows (-; That relaxed people a touch, but not THAT much.

Why would a mayor decide to not accommodate the people who are attending the council meeting? Why would he just assume they would all hang out in the hall? Haven’t we had enough DISRESPECT from this council???

We’ll let you know when this meeting resumes– it should be within the next couple of days. Please come again, and again until we have democracy restored to this little township. We CAN make a difference! THANK YOU ALL!

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Police called to Adelaide-Metcalfe council meeting for the 2nd time

For the second time, mayor David Bolton of Adelaide-Metcalfe township called in the OPP because residents were videotaping the open council meeting. But this time there was over 100 observers in the gallery, and more than one camera. Council voted 3-2 in favour of calling the OPP, but with so many people packed into the room (way over fire code), the OPP remained outside until the meeting was shut down, adjourned for a future date.

CHEAP NATURAL GAS!

That’s economics for you. Who gives a damn about the human costs and wildlife deaths of this Green Experiment that will go down in history as one of the biggest and most evil SCAMS ever pulled on modern humanity by a handful of greedy dishonourable and deviant parasites that would sell their own Grandmother out for a piece of gold!

European Fracking Bans Open Market for U.S. Gas Exports

Dr. Benny Peiser Thursday, May 24, 2012

As a result of Germany’s green energy transition, electricity prices are exploding. Consumers and businesses are paying the price while Germany faces gradual de-industrialisation. Economists estimate that the cost of the green energy transition will total 170 billion Euros by 2020. This is more than double of what Germany would have to write off if Greece were to withdraw from the monetary union. “The de-industrialization has already begun,” the EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger has warned.—Handelsblatt, 23 May 2012

The prospect of increasing production of cheap shale gas in Europe has impacted investors’ forward planning, Chris Moore, CEO of MGT Power told a forest industry conference in London on Thursday. “If anything, it’s going to cause a waiting period, and that’s bad for renewable energy. You’re going to see a lot of question marks on renewables and their affordability,” said Moore.—Environmental Finance, 17 May 2012

Opposition to a drilling technique known as hydraulic fracturing has slowed the development of natural gas in Europe, creating export opportunities for U.S. producers hurt by low prices and a glut of gas at home. By 2020, Europe will be using more shale gas produced in the U.S. than from domestic fracking, Wood Mackenzie estimates.—Katarzyna Klimasinska, Bloomberg 23 May 2012

I wonder how the poor saps that are to fork out thousands of dollars are going to feel when they get there and find out they’ve invested their life savings in one of the biggest Scams ever to pulled off in the modern world!

Of course it won’t actually be their money they are blowing on this “windy gaggle of money men”. Most of the money being splurged has come out of the pockets of Electricity Consumers of Ontario that are actually “energy poor” because of the Green Energy Scam being run by McGuinty and Gang across Ontario………….so I guess it’s all right then…………….

Germany Stalled on the Expressway to a Green Future

Energy Revolution Interruptus 05/23/2012

By Frank Dohmen, Alexander Jung, Michael Sauga and Andreas Wassermann

Within eight years, some 2,000 wind turbines are supposed to be up and running in German territorial waters in the North Sea and Baltic Sea. At the moment, there are exactly 52 turbines in operation. But timid investors are not the only reason construction on the high seas is so far behind schedule.

There is also a shortage of special ships, trained workers and, most of all, experience in pulling off such projects under adverse weather conditions. The German electronics and engineering giant Siemens recently announced delays in the completion of transformer platforms in the North Sea that it is building for TenneT, the Netherlands’ state-owned grid operator. Siemens CEO Peter Löscher admits that the company underestimated the challenges.

But lawmakers are also making things especially difficult for the engineers. German regulations require offshore wind farms to be situated far from the coast, at depths of 30 meters (98 feet) or more. So, it’s hardly surprising that potential backers prefer to invest in places where construction isn’t quite so complicated. Half of all offshore wind turbines in Europe are in British waters, usually in close proximity to the coast, followed by Denmark and the Netherlands.

Another problem in Germany is that TenneT lacks the financial means to connect all wind farms to the grid. The Dutch company has already invested about €5 billion, but it needs another €15 billion. Since TenneT is unable to drum up enough capital on its own, it wants support from Germany’s state-owned KfW development bank. In other words, German taxpayers are once again supposed to be put on the financial hook.

But connecting the offshore wind farms to the grid isn’t the only problem. It is proving to be just as difficult to expand power-transmission lines to where most of the electricity is needed: in the densely populated areas and industrial zones of the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the southern states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. Until now, the demand for energy in these areas has been met by coal-fired and nuclear power plants.

Already before the energy turnaround, grid planners had estimated that roughly 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles) of additional transmission lines would be needed. Today, they expect that figure to be closer to 4,500 kilometers. In the last six years, grid operators have completed only 200 kilometers of these new transmission lines.

Connection Issues

Jochen Homann, the head of Germany’s Federal Network Agency, says that there is reason to be concerned that not all projects can be completed within the targeted timeframe

A law enacted last year to accelerate grid expansion is unlikely to change that. On the contrary, power plants and grids are being planned in parallel and without mutual coordination in the various states. Completed wind farms are not being connected to the grid because the power lines haven’t been installed yet.

Nevertheless, consumers are still being asked to pay a portion of the costs — even though the electricity is not available to them yet — because the turbine operators are entitled to compensation.

Such effects drive up grid and electricity costs. The Federal Network Agency estimates that power grid charges will increase to between 5 and 7 percent of the price of electricity in the coming years owing to costs associated with expanding power-transmission lines.

Storage Troubles

The expansion of energy-storage facilities in Germany will also be extremely costly. They play a key role because of their ability to integrate the fluctuating amounts of renewable energy — which are incalculable due to the unpredictability of wind and sunshine — into the system. The storage facilities offset fluctuations and stabilize the power supply.

Immediate Action Needed To Drive Home A Victory

Those who are working to enforce Agenda21 operate from a three-pronged attack; Social Justice, which dictates that community needs take precedent over individual wants; Public/Private Partnerships, a dangerous melding of private corporations with government resulting in government-sanctioned monopolies; and Environmental control, which translates into the proposition that all actions by man lead to environmental Armageddon and therefore must be tightly regulated by a central force of power.

One major target in the crosshairs of this attack is private property ownership and control by individuals. Across the nation reports are pouring in of government land grabs that lock away private land in the name of protecting a sucker fish, or a spotted owl, or a historic site. The results are destroyed industries such as timber, ranching or mining. Valuable and desperately needed natural resources are put out of reach for use.

Much closer to the average homeowner, property rights are being violated as restrictions are put on a homeowner’s ability to add on to the house or make improvements. In some extreme cases, access roads to houses are disallowed; even normal repairs are interpreted as new building and are banned. There are new building restrictions that dictate the kinds of materials that may be used for building and repairs. Now private homes are being invaded by electric companies, replacing, without permission, electric meters to comply with new regulations. Homeowners are losing their ability to even control their own thermostat.

In some communities, to meet arbitrary energy restrictions, local government is forcing homeowners to install new energy efficient appliances and windows, and even new roofs, on occasion. There are reports of inspectors actually entering homes and systematically removing incandescent light bulbs and replacing them with the new green models, without the knowledge and against the will of the property owner. Repairmen are instructed to lower temperatures on water heaters as they repair them, and so forth.

In short, private property rights, meaning the control of property by the owner is fast disappearing. While Agenda 21/Sustainable Development-inspired legislation gives lip-service to private property ownership, the language usually says something like, balance the rights of individuals and property owners with the needs of the community. That line is, in fact, a direct quote from the Growth Policy for Great Falls, Montana. Such wording is nearly universal in comprehensive development plans across the nation.

That mindset is growing in local government regulations as Agenda 21 practices are enforced. The promoters understand that their policies are literally ripping apart private ownership of property, but they lack the intestinal fortitude to be honest about their actions. So they acknowledge property rights, and hope we don’t question how private control of ones own property is balanced with the needs of the community. How is that done? Who stands for the rights of the individual property owner or private business as government makes the rules to decide the needs of the community.

To defend such a policy, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) and planning professionals such as the American Planning Association (APA) which contract with local governments to create such rules, come armed with an arsenal of experts ready to defend the anti-property rights policies whenever challenged. So, if a property owner appears before the County Commissioners to complain that a certain regulation has damaged his property rights, or perhaps has damaged his ability to conduct business, for example, the NGOs immediately jump into action to defend the policy. They bring in a battery of experts with officials titles to write official sounding reports that serve to overwhelm the elected officials and cut off any honest debate. A local citizen simply has no chance to fight back against this heavily-funded, powerfully-connected onslaught.

Obviously, if Agenda 21 and its mindset of government control is to be reigned in, clearly, something needs to be done to provide a strong voice for protection and defense of the property owners. Such a plan of action has now been developed by County Commissioner Cornel Rasor of Bonner County, Idaho. He calls it a Property Rights Council.

Rasor, Chairman of his County Commission, has been an opponent of Agenda 21 and a proponent of property rights for many years. After being elected to the County Commission several years ago he recognized the threat centralized control of development posed to private property and set out to develop a strategy to protect constituents’ property rights and their right to control their own property. As a result, the concept he created is a Property Rights Council (PRC) as an official arm of the county government. It now exists in Bonner County, complete with a full time director on the County payroll.

Key to the success of a Property Rights Council is the proper definition of property rights. Scott Bauer, county attorney for Bonner County, Idaho and one of the driving forces to get it established, explained their approach in defining property rights this way: Practically speaking for each PRC case -file we translate the expression ”property right” with the expression ”control right.” We take a property right to be a right to control some asset, resource, or physical thing. A PRC case is analyzed in terms of whether the proposal advances public control or private control (code for public/socialized property or private property). Property controlled by a ‘public entity’ is property controlled by an entity that utilizes a measure of socially sanctioned coercion to control the private assets in its possession and to take those assets from private individuals or groups without their full/complete consent. Applying this to land-use controls, new proposed zoning (anti- development or anti-use controls) socialize preexisting privately controlled real property and place it coercively into public control. Using this framework the PRC looks for the mix of public/private control over an asset or assets and promotes more private control and less public.

McGuinty’s Green Energy Scam has been exposed for what it really is across Ontario…a complete DISASTER!

Municipalities, more than 80 of them out of 440 have placed “moratoriums” on any further Wind Turbine Development within their Township boundaries.

What to do? How can McGuinty get around all the outrage by Citizens?………………..last resorts like BRIBERY could be the ticket. When all else fails plopping bags of money into starving Municipalities coffers would do the trick!

Who’s leading the way here?. Skypower seems to be the “go to” guys here. This company was once the vanguard for Wind Turbine Leasing across Ontario in it’s infancy and was used to lock up leases for start up companies inside the Green Nightmare in massive developments of Wind Turbines across the Province. Skypower declared bankruptcy in it’s Wind segment of it’s company but has continued to operate within the other Green Energy Scam, Solar!

They have come up with a “points system” whereby Municipalities that show a positive move for Wind and Solar Development will earn points worth a certain amout of money per POINT!

Out and out Bribery comes to mind here……………what else does McGuinty have left?………………..nothing!

A couple of points

Friday, May 18th, 2012 | Posted by Rick Conroy

Among the myriad economic perversions created by Ontario’s Green Energy Act one of the more intriguing, and possibly treacherous, is the creation of a financial marketplace for municipal favours. The McGuinty government was noisily criticized when it laid low government regulations and environmental protections that enable intermittent electricity generators to move their wind and solar developments through the queue quicker and easier under the Green Energy Act.

Among its loudest critics were municipalities that had been cut out of the decisionmaking process. Neutered, municipal leaders could only grumble as the trucks laden with intermittent energy components manufactured offshore, rumbled into their communities, across their roads and bridges to be erected anywhere the developer pleased. Even endangered species are being forced relocate, or die, to make way for the industrialization of Ontario rural landscape in the name of “green” energy.

Yet it was the municipalities that caught the attention of the Ontario government in the last election—one in which the Liberals narrowly held onto power. Dalton McGuinty’s energy bureaucrats responded in March with a new points system in which FIT (Feed-in Tariff) applications will be prioritized based upon community support rather than first-come first-served. Specifically a developer earns two points, propelling them up the queue, if they can win approval for their project from the local council.

While Dalton McGuinty likely imagined the point system might ensure intermittent electricity plants were built in municipalities that share his ambition, developers quickly deduced that municipalities would happily trade those points for cash.

It wasn’t as though municipalities were being invited to the table; the province has been clear it will continue to override community wishes when, and if, it sees fit. Dalton McGuinty was merely throwing municipalities a bone to keep them occupied—at least out of the next election campaign.

The good news for this council is that the floor price for its support has been set. It need not embark on expensive consultation and external studies to determine the minimum value for falling in line with the developer and the province.

It can thank Skypower for that. The failed wind developer, now a solar developer, has offered this municipality (and others) $7,000 for every megawatt of power it installs, every year for a minimum of 20 years. Skypower’s new found “commitment to giving back” extends only to future applications however. It seems this “commitment” is only as deep as the advantage it can extract from the community.

At least this council knows what the points are worth.

Last week a landowner in Bloomfield stood before council seeking the two points they had to offer. He wants to build a 500 kW (approximately 6 acres) solar plant behind the former canning factory in the village. There was no mention of what he was willing to pay for the points.

According to the Skypower model, the Bloomfield landowner should be offering a minimum of $3,500 per year for at least 20 years (500 kW equals half a megawatt). Given that 500 kW projects earn the highest rate of all groundmounted solar projects under the new rules, the Bloomfield landowner’s margins should easily accommodate this fee.

They claim they are saving species at risk and promoting conservancy around the world so what could be wrong with that?

Nothing at all, if they just stuck with that job, but there is so much more to this massive group of “Environmentalists”.

This Fund was “founded in 1961 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands — a Nazi, member of Hitler’s SS and one of two founders of the globalist Bilderberg Group” so what could go wrong with it?………………….

If you’ve donated any of your hard earned cash to this group to save anything at all that they say is endangered, YOU just may be on that list!

Personally, I would ask for a refund!

“If all of humanity lived like an average resident of Indonesia, only two-thirds of the planet’s biocapacity would be used; if everyone lived like an average Argentinean, humanity would demand more than half an additional planet; and if everyone lived like an average resident of the USA, a total of four Earths would be required to regenerate humanity’s annual demand on nature.” — World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Living Planet Report 2012 (emphasis added)

I just started reading the “summary” version of WWF’s biennial “state of the planet”report (loaded with lots of large print, white space, pretty pictures, and ominous graphics) and already I have a headache.

On page two I was told quite emphatically that “demand on natural resources has doubled since 1966″ and that “we are currently using the equivalent of 1.5 planets to support our activities.”

OK, I never did like fractions much, but even I can figure out that this means that we have already consumed the planet we’re on, plus one half of an imaginary planet that doesn’t exist, and so we therefore must be hanging out in space somewhere waiting for a couple more planets to come floating by so that we can consume them, too, like “Day of the Locusts,” or Super-Mario-Pac-Men, or…, or…, or something.

“We are using 50 per cent more resources than the Earth can provide, and unless we change course that number will grow very fast — by 2030, even two planets will not be enough…. The first imperative is to get much more out of the energy we use – increasing the efficiency of our buildings, cars and factories can cut our total energy use in half.” — Jim Leape, Director General of WWF International, as quoted from the WWF Living Planet Report 2012 (emphasis added)

Either Mr. Leape failed the negative-numbers portion of his mathematical training, or else he’s the biggest/boldest flimflam man ever?

Because pretty much any child can tell you that if you only have one basket of oranges, then it’s impossible for you to consume two (because, hello? the second basket doesn’t even exist!)

Is it just me? Or does this kind of “logic” remind you of Mike Rivero’s 11th-marble theory of fractional-reserve banking?

“The problem with all modern reserve banking systems is that the moment the first bank note goes into circulation as the proceed of a loan at interest, more money is owed to the banks than actually exists. Ten marbles have been put into the tin can, but the bankers see 11 marbles owed back to them…. This evil magic of creating money out of debt was a fraud all along, as fraudulent and silly as the idea that one can put ten marbles into a tin can, and take out eleven.” — Mike Rivero (emphasis added)

Equally silly and fraudulent is the idea that I could possibly consume more stuff than actually exists. We have not, and absolutely cannot, consume a planet-and-a-half worth of stuff, no matter how hard we try.

Any thinking person knows that we are already living within our means, because how could we not? We’d all be dead by now if we weren’t! So much for the Emperor’s New Clothes.

But after wading through pages and pages of strange and wondrous language — “biocapacity,” “BRIICS,” “carbon storage,” “ecosystem services,” “global hectare,” “living planet index” — and beautiful and iconic photography — a smiling Nepalese woman squatting in the weeds, a crowded and smoggy Shanghai street, a half-naked New Guinean tossing a fishing net — I finally arrived at the crux:

“WWF’s One Planet perspective proposes to manage, govern and sharenatural capital within the Earth’s ecological boundaries… WWF seeks better choices along the entire system of production and consumption, supported by redirected financial flows and more equitable resource governance. All of this, and more, is required to decouple human development from unsustainable consumption… to avoid greenhouse gas emissions, to maintain ecosystem integrity, and to promote pro-poor growth and development.” — WWF Living Planet Report 2012 (emphasis added)

FINALLY!….the Green Scam is coming to a screeching halt in Europe, where it all started decades ago. The “poster children” for us over here in the West who we were to “emulate” by our delusional politicians seem to be pulling out of the Green Revolution that has helped to Bankrupt the European Continent along with the massive thievery which coincidently took place by the Financial parasites of Wall Street and beyond!

The EU reps have backed out of the Rio+20 Summit slated for next Month and this must be the reason.

Of course we here in Ontario will have to wait for this crap to hit the fan over here, but it’s coming. What we can all do now is start to list the politicians and people within our local Governments who have embraced this FRAUD and hold them responsible when the “Greenies start shedding black tears”!

Leaked Strategy Paper: EU Plans To Phase Out Green Energy Subsidies

19 May 2012 Hendrik Kafsack, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GWPF

The economic cost of the expansion of renewable energy could become prohibitively expensive. Subsidies in the EU for solar and wind power should be phased out as quickly as possible. That is what the European Commission says in an internal draft strategy paper that EU Energy Commissioner, Günther Oettinger, will present in Brussels early next month.

Günther Oettinger, EU energy commissioner

In doing so, the EU Commission is supporting the German government which wants to reduce solar subsidies by up to 30 percent, a plan which has met with resistance in the Upper House of the German Parliament.

The expansion and especially the maturity of renewable energy such as solar and wind power have grown much faster than expected, the strategy paper points out. The cost of photovoltaic systems, for instance, had fallen by 48 percent in the last five years. The cost for the construction of offshore wind farms had decreased by 12 percent since 2008. In light of these developments, member states would have to make their programmes more flexible to phase them out.

At the expense of taxpayers

If green subsidy programmes are too rigid, there is a risk that producers would be over-compensated and the cost of developing renewable energy would become intolerable, the paper warns. The sharp decline in the cost of many new green energy sources together with the strong expansion of solar and wind energy had driven the cost for consumers and, in some cases, for taxpayers sharply higher. For many people, energy costs were already too high, especially in light of the difficult economic situation today. The price for renewable energy such as solar and wind power would therefore have to be left entirely to the forces of the free market and as quickly as possible.

However, the Commission does not intend to abolish all forms of renewable subsidies. The development of newer green energy sources, such as geothermal or novel solar thermal power plants, that are not yet commercially viable should be encouraged even beyond the year 2020.

How magnanimous of these fat old white haired men slouching in their leather chairs at the United Nations to even openly discuss the “Rights to Bear Children” in this “overcrowded and over populated World”!

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) was created to study the “problem” of how a World which is populated with too many humans can be controlled and legislated to reduce human reproduction and save the planet from eating too much food that can’t be grown!

Eugenics is a catch all phrase that was embraced by none other than good old Adolph during his hay-day of genocide and can’t be ignored even today when we have organizations trying to dictate who and who cannot have children!

This is one of the few times that the U.N. has actually come out in written form of their intent to include this type of discussion in a World Forum like the Rio+20 Summit coming up in June. Cluttered with obtuse, fuzzy language describing this core issue is of course the intent of the U.N. to “disguise” their true intentions so nobody will notice until it’s too late to argue the points! …..wouldn’t want to upset the various religions that consider the Birth of a Child as SACRED!!

UNFPA Promotes Population Control at Rio+20 Conference

Timothy Herrmann LifeNews.com 5/21/12

New York, NY (CFAM/LifeNews) — The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is taking advantage of the upcoming Rio+20 conference in June to promote population control and reproductive rights as the backbone of sustainable development and poverty eradication.

At a briefing session held just before the second round of informal negotiations last week, UNFPA labeled population growth as the main obstacle to achieving sustainable development and identified increased access to reproductive rights and services as the solution.

Ann-Brigitte Albrectsen, UNFPA Deputy Executive Director, warned countries, “The world’s population has now well surpassed the 7 billion mark, and will continue to grow by billions more. Efforts to further improve the quality of life of such a large and growing population while ensuring the sustainable use of essential and finite resources is today’s greatest challenge.”

UNFPA’s economics adviser Michael Herrmann was quick to remind representatives from developing countries with growing populations, “Demography is not destiny.” He insisted that in order to achieve economic growth, eradicate poverty and curb climate change it was essential for them to limit population growth.

Following Herrmann’s lead, UNFPA representatives implored countries during the briefing to lobby for the inclusion of “population dynamics” together with “reproductive health and rights” in the outcome document, and not to see them as separate issues.

Such are the obtuse ways of UN negotiations. What does “population dynamics” mean? What does the term mean when connected to other terms like “reproductive health and rights?”

The term “population dynamics” is little used in UN documents and first appeared in the original Cairo document and later in the Agenda 21 of the Rio Conference on the environment. Connecting the term in the new document with the term “reproductive health and rights” has raised concerns among delegations that it is a new kind of trick to promote population control.

Raising further suspicions, pro-abortion UNFPA collaborators like the United States, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland, heeded the UNFPA’s requests and lobbied heavily during negotiations this month to include both terms in the text together.

The Holy See and Malta opposed inclusion of the terms, which at this point appear multiple times in the document and may or may not be included in the final document that will be agreed upon in Rio this June.
