This Liberal Government is now “announcing” their Green Button Initiative! Sounds like they’ve been hanging around the “button jar” a wee bit too long…..the one that contains Peyote Buttons!

They ARE green and they do change your way of “looking at things” and they will probably do more good than “buying into” a Green Energy “button initiative” that states it will “allow” Ontarians to conserve more energy and in turn save money on their electrical use.
After all, we are paying so damn much for electricity now that McGuinty has ruined our energy sector with his madness of going green, that WE know only too well how much it costs us if we abuse our electrical use. But no, Dalton thinks we need to be taught how to use our energy and he just wants to help us ignorant and stupid consumers out…………………..
He also had this brain wave cooked up inside the MaRs Centre, the great white elephant developed by OUR tax dollars to house the greenies and eco-whackos who are parasitically sucking us dry at the the tax payers trough alongside the politicians!

Ontario to Enable Cutting Edge Conservation Initiative
McGuinty Government Helping Consumers Manage Electricity Use
Ontario is aiming to provide electricity consumers with greater access to information about their energy consumption and encourage the creation of new, innovative tools for consumers to help conserve energy and save on electricity costs.
A working group led by the province and the MaRS Discovery District will explore an Ontario Green Button initiative that would use innovative smart grid technology to give families and businesses direct, timely access to their own energy data through a secure download from their utility’s website. A standard data format for Ontario’s utilities would also encourage app developers to create new tools to help Ontarians manage their energy use from their computers and smart devices.
Helping Ontarians conserve energy while managing their electricity cost is part of the McGuinty government’s plan to modernize the province’s electricity infrastructure, ensure clean air for families and keep the lights on in homes and businesses across the province.

Beware. This “voluntary” program whereby you can remotely control the energy consumption in your home, will evolve into a mandatory program whereby the government remotely controls the energy consumption in your home. DO NOT buy programmable thermostats or smart appliances if you value your freedom!
